Soft Baked Chocolate Chip Cookies - Makes 12 Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 Egg

  • 1 1/2 cups All purpose flour

  • 1/2 tsp Baking soda

  • 1/4 cup Brown sugar, packed light

  • 1 cup Chocolate chips

  • 1/4 tsp Salt

  • 1 tsp Vanilla

  • 1/2 cup White sugar

  • 8 tbsp Butter, salted


Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. Microwave the butter for 30-40 seconds to just barely melt it.

  3. Mix together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.

  4. Beat in the eggs, then stir in the vanilla extract.

  5. Combine the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this mixture to the butter mixture while stirring.

  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.

  7. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets.

  8. Bake for 9 to 11 minutes until the edges are lightly golden. Do not overbake.

  9. Cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
